Not at all. While I specialise in therapy for people with congenital heart conditions, I also support anyone experiencing anxiety, grief, trauma, or long-term health challenges.
• Anxiety and fear before or after medical procedures
• Scanxiety while waiting for results
• Grief and loss (health-related or otherwise)
• Identity and self-esteem struggles
• Carer stress and emotional exhaustion
• General feelings of being overwhelmed or “stuck”
Sessions are weekly, 50 minutes each, ideally in person (Bristol). The first session is about getting to know each other, exploring what you’d like to focus on, and deciding whether we’re a good fit.
My sessions are £60 for 50 minutes. This is in line with many private therapists in the UK. If cost is a barrier, please let me know and we can discuss options.
Online sessions may be considered on a case-by-case basis for clients who cannot access in-person support, but your first appointment must always be face-to-face to establish our therapeutic relationship properly.
Yes. Everything you share in therapy is confidential, within the limits of safeguarding. I adhere to UKCP ethical standards.
Every person is different. Some clients come for a short series (6–12 sessions) to work through a specific issue, while others choose longer-term therapy. We’ll discuss what feels right for you.
I work with adults (18+). If you’re looking for child therapy, I may be able to recommend other professionals.
Yes. I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
The relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important parts of therapy. That’s why I encourage an initial chat, so you can ask questions and see if you feel comfortable with me.
I am not a crisis service. If you need immediate help, please contact your GP, call NHS 111 or 999, or reach out to Samaritans on 116 123.
