About Me

I came to train as a Psychotherapist after many varied and interesting lives. I have been an actor and a stage manager. I ran my own theatre company in 1990s.  I have also worked in retail, research and care. Settling in Bristol in 2000 I became an Administrator and PA.

I began my training as a Psychotherapist after being made redundant from my admin job in 2013, deciding that I never wanted to sit behind a desk again and after some careers counselling felt the call to the Helping Professions. Knowing that my own therapy had been invaluable in helping me find my voice I heeded the call and started to train as a Psychotherapist at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling graduating in 2023.

I am a UKCP registered and accredited Psychotherapist, I am fully qualified with a Diploma and Masters in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy. I am in regular supervision to support my work and I have had my own private practice since 2015. I also hold Professional Indemnity Insurance.

In the past I have been a volunteer therapist at The Swan Project in Bristol working with clients with addiction, and The Rosa Burden Centre for Neuropsychiatry at Southmead Hospital, working with patients in need of support with their mental health associated with neurological diseases.

Previously I worked within the Deaf Community at the Centre for Deaf Studies at Bristol University before its closure in 2013.  Please note - though I have knowledge of BSL and Deaf Culture I cannot offer sessions in BSL.

As a UKCP accredited Psychotherapist I must adhere to the UKCP code of ethics. I also continue my learning with regular Continued Professional Development.

Sessions are weekly and last for 50 minutes. Please contact me regarding fees.
